The PARTNER consortium is currently working closely with project partners on the design and development of the PARTNER training modules and their outlines. This phase builds on insights gathered through participatory and co-creation activities carried out in prisons across participating countries.
The training modules will address key health priorities identified by people living in prison and prison staff, including:
- Suicide prevention and psychological safety in detention settings
- Hygiene and infection prevention
- Substance use and addiction
- Non-communicable diseases
- First aid and safety
- Access to health services
The modules are being developed with a strong focus on practicality, accessibility, and cultural sensitivity, taking into account the specific needs and realities of prison environments. They will form the basis of the PARTNER Training Methodology Framework and support efforts to strengthen health literacy and promote more equitable access to healthcare in correctional settings across Europe.
