The PARTNER project was presented on 11 June in Milan during the “Spazio di Confronto, Cura – Sicurezza – Comunicazione” conference, an initiative bringing together healthcare professionals and prison staff to strengthen collaboration, communication and care in prison settings.
Cristina Cairone, Correctional Physician atASST Santi Paolo e Carlo and partner representative in the PARTNER project, presented the project’s participatory approach to strengthening health literacy among people living and working in prisons.
The event emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation, mutual understanding and joint training between healthcare and correctional professionals, which are key elements in addressing health challenges in prison settings.
These priorities are closely aligned with the objectives of PARTNER, which aims to support more informed, and health-promoting prison environments across Europe.
