The first partners’ meeting of the European project PARTNER (Participatory Approach for Training, Empowerment, and Health Education Resources in Prisons) took place on 5–6 February 2025 at the offices of the Prolepsis Institute in Athens.

During the two-day meeting, partners had the opportunity to present the overall framework and objectives of the project, outline the communication and dissemination strategy, and coordinate upcoming activities. The agenda also included valuable discussions based on initial experiences from the first field interventions in prison settings.

PARTNER is a three-year project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, coordinated by the Università di Pisa (UNIPI). The consortium brings together organisations from Italy (UNIPI, ASST – SPH), France (CHU de Montpellier), Greece (Prolepsis Institute), and Moldova (National Administration of Penitentiaries).

The meeting marked the formal launch of the project’s implementation phase and strengthened collaboration across partner countries toward improving health literacy and empowerment in correctional environments across Europe.
