Co-Creation Approach

Our Co-Creation Approach: Designing Health Literacy Together

The PARTNER project utilizes a participatory, inclusive, and research-driven co-creation approach to develop effective health literacy training tailored for the prison environment.

Engaging the Prison Community

Central to our methodology is the active engagement of the people who matter most: men and women living in prisons (PLP) and prison staff. We collaborate directly with these groups through the PARTNER consortium to:

Define their specific health needs.
Gather input for developing relevant PARTNER training content.

How Co-Creation Works

We facilitate co-creation sessions (such as focus groups and workshops) across partner countries – Italy, France, Greece, and Moldova. These sessions provide invaluable first-hand insights into:

Key health literacy requirements and general health needs of both PLP and staff.

Perceptions and attitudes surrounding health and access to health information within prisons.

Identifying barriers to health information.

Gathering specific suggestions for the PARTNER training content and delivery methods.
